Teaduskraadi info

Doktorikraad (PhD), "Viral Zoonoses in Estonia. Hantaviruses and Tick-Borne Encephalitis Virus: Identification, Prevalence, Serological and Genetic Relationships" ("Viiruszoonoosid Eestis. Hantaviirused ja puukentsefaliidiviirus: identifitseerimine, levimus, seroloogilise ja geneetilised seosed"), Karolinska Instituut, Stockholm, Rootsi

Teadustegevuse põhisuunad

  • Loodusliku levikuga patogeenid (mida kannavad üle puugid, väikenärilised) ja nende poolt tekitatud nakkused (puukentsefaliit, borrelioos, ehrlichioos, babesioos, hantaviirusnakkused)
  • Patogeeni ja nende looduslikke peremehi ning nende poolt põhjustatud nakkuste uurimine: levivate patogeenide bioloogiliste omaduste uurimine, genotüpeerimine, nende leviku ohualade kindlaks tegemine, nende nakkuste osatähtsuse määramine elanikkonna haigestumises ja epidemioloogiliste iseärasuste väljaselgitamine
